The roads were atrocious from something ... I arrived 10 minutes late while the gang played "Raise your Goblet" where they were conspiring to poison each other.
Odd sort of game. Plastic goblets and all.
The building was a roar with some card tournament. Not sure if it was Yu-Gi-Oh, or Pokemon, or Magic. The house was packed. There were about 10 for the board game activities.
So, while most were busy plotting out how to metaphorically poison each other, I sat with a new guy playing "Deep Sea Adventure". It's a throw away game but the footprint is intriguing.
We both died the first two rounds being overly aggressive on the diving. We're smart people ... but ... treasure does that to you.
The third round, we had sanity and somehow scored a tie. A fitting way to end.
The dude was here to see if anyone came to these things and was pleased to find odd birds like ourselves.
He was going to bring "KDM" next week. Everyone let it slide. Just as you are doing now. "King Death: Monster" I asked?

Yes, bring that. Set it up. Grail. Danger Will Robinson. Bzzzzzzzttttt. Dyno-Mite!!!!!
That one is hard to find and to have someone who knows it walk into your mitts.

Perhaps a dud ... Perhaps. But, then you you know where the Grail is not.
Out came "Dead Panic", a variation of "Castle Panic" with a blend of Zombicide I guess.
You play a character in a hexagonal cabin being attacked by Zombies. You search the cabin for stuff like shot guns, axes, and epi-pens. Repel Zombies. Find survivors who have a radio broken conveniently into three parts.
Rescue survivors. Assemble Radio. Call in Van. Run to van. Race out.
The cabin was obliterated. We fought as a group out. All injured. We escaped at the last moment.
I would have guessed we were done for when all the zombies were on the board. But somehow we survived.
All these zombie games are a bit fiddly. Everyone got the "Cabin" reference. A good enough night.
Yours,
