Out of the 19 kisses Kirk had on screen in TOS only 5 of them were because he actually wanted to be kissed. The others were either done to save his life and his crew, either because someone drugged him/altered his mind/posessed him, aliens made them do it, or he was simply kissed by force. None of the remakes made him the same character he was in TOS, making an impulsive, irresponsible and womanizer Jim Kirk that didnt exist in TOS. He's always been a sweet character, he's respectful to women, he's a romantic, he apologizes if he yells at the crew, he tries to find a peaceful solution, that's TOS kirk
