The dogs got out and I had to do a hunt through the neighborhood to find them. They were sitting comfortably at the neighbor's house enjoying the kerfuffle on some missing dogs.
The whole time of course, they knew were they were.
So, I arrived late. I joined an in progress group with the Barracuda and some new friends.
The game of the day was "That's not a hat".

It's a bluffing game where you have to convince the person's at the table that your simple card is not what it is. Or simply tell the truth as you know it.
Old dudes with bad memories, young kids with only the guile that the universe spills into them.
I settled on a strategy where I told them everything was pizza. It didn't matter. I couldn't remember.
Pretty soon, everything was pizza because that's the only thing anyone could remember.
Well, it wasn't grand master tactical gaming. But, I laughed.
I pulled out the "Deep Sea Adventure" game and we ran a round or two of that. We were all terrible at that. But, I did note, it didn't take much for the kids to figure out that everyone else at the table was stealing their oxygen. Survival of the fittest.
(The game is PG rated, so no one dies.)
I had Vale of Eternity on my watch list:

Someone had it out and I watched a few rounds. Good as I estimated. Not too complicated with interesting choices. I shall consider it carefully.
