This is a smaller but growing group.
A game was already underway so I jumped in with the Chaos Master and the Shark on a number of small games.
We tried
Scout, a highly ranked very small game:

I had never played so when it popped up, it intrigued me.
You are running a circus ... but more just sorting cards with numbers on them.
You may put on a "Show" which is to display a set of cars (matched or in sequence). The metaphor is the cards are you performers. Forget the theme, it's meaningless.
Each other player may put on a better "Show" higher number of matched or sequence (and score points).
ORRRR, they may "Scout" which is to take one of your cards. And pay you a point. We would have called it "Filch" your card but what do we know.
If no one can beat your "Show", the round ends. Score.
Pretty box. Small. Easy enough to play. Not grand.
I broke out my tiny game
Deep Sea Adventure which should be titled, "No really you are going to run out of oxygen and die".

You are divers trying to recover treasure from the bottom of the sea. The further you go, the better the treasure. But, as you recover the treasure, it takes more oxygen to return to the surface.
There is something interesting about the design. And, most players take too much risk and fail.
The box fits in the palm of you hand. It needs something but interesting none the less.
Finally, out came "
Take 5". Except we played the German version because gamers do that kind of stuff.

Interesting card game in a universe of many interesting card games. No Scouting or Filching. Amazing the decision points one can get from such a simple game.
Hearts or Spades would have been just as good.
Bonus game day this week at the library.
Yours,
