Game Night 9/2/2025 --- Some soft of Newspaper Publishing thing ...
Message:
One of the people in the group is part of a library which has lots of games .... who knew that was a thing.
So, an eclectic selection of games.

I arrived a few minutes late so didn't get the first few words but I'm a affable gamer. I can fill a seat.
So, friendly hares, foxes, and possum are publishing newspapers and your job is to lay out the front page with polyomino shapes. What? Is that my dentist calling?
The game comes complete with a small desk that you assemble with a little phone and a place to stack your articles.
The colors of the polyominoes were the neutral orange, blue, green. And, the iconography was etched on the cards with a nano-laser.
I reflected back to the old days when Spacegamer was laid out by hand.
The scores were tight but in the end, poor vision and nostalgia just couldn't get it done. I should note there was no scoring for least orphans which would have not altered my score.
Not my cup of tea but a pleasant distraction.
We finished with Wilmots Warehouse because no one brought a bucket to do a proper water boarding.

I will say, the more mature group was able to figure out a sorting system that we could all remember. We got all but 2 pair of items which we had reversed on the grid. Much better than the last time.
But, old people move slower when frantically sorting chits so ... an average score (as a team).
Another one, I don't recommend but you may find interesting.
Yours,
