Fabled Fruit is a Legacy Game as well ...
Message:
Friedman Frieze game.
There's a big deck of cards in a specified order to start when you open the box (4 groups of cards numbered 1, 4 groups of cards numbered 2, 4 groups of cards numbered 3, etc.)
Each of the number groups does a slightly different thing. This one allows you to draw 2 of the small cards. This one allows you to trade, etc.
As you play the game, you "take" the cards as a victory point. But, you add a new card from the big deck.
So, I take a group 1 card, and now, a group 7 card comes out. Since that is the first group 7 card, the game now has a different option.
Eventually, all the piles disappear and the game changes as you go.
So, the way to win changes as you go.
Even more, when you are done, you leave the deck as it is. You don't reset it. So, game 10 is different than game 1, etc.
The mechanics and theme in this one are pretty basic. Cute and interesting.
But, what about a Space Conquest version?
What if it had a small bit of branching?
Easy to set-up. Easy to play. Crush Iron Tony and lay waste to the bugs on the way to Klendathu.
Yours,
IronConrad
