Message:We finished the Sidebar quest to Telos, escorting a Trade Delegate. It was just a few steps left toward completion. Injuries were mid-range (by the end), only Ham Yaro was in danger of dying.
On to Mission Two. We intercepted the courier at Bothawui w/ a DefMod <-1> out of these possibilities:
Rishi DefMod<-3>, Bothawui DefMod<-1>, Mimban Did Not Stop, Manaan DefMod<0>, Alderaan DefMod<-2>
Courier Pellaeon offered us a secret message for guarantee of release. We later learned this man was the dreaded Captain Pellaeon. He directed us to survey the Tritanium Mines of Lesser Telos. “These were not properly surveyed and Grand Moff Tarkin may still be able to fund both advanced Tie-Fight production and his Stardust project."
We grabbed some succor at Bothawui then headed to Telos. Jedi Dave added +2 Utility to his Byorma Hyperspace Power Drill.
At Telos the mines we entered were flooded, so each member of the group tried to manufactured Breathing Apparatus (first success) and follow with Thermal Suit. Even after some helped others, two members we left suffering harm at each letter crossed.
Along the search for the Tri-Ionic vein, we fought Sando. The ice fluid caves were breeding ground for Kahmurra (Sando). The result of genetically engineering murras to be more efficient fighting animals. The Empire considered the project a failure and canceled funding. The creatures were dumped there to die but instead thrived.
We never determined the vulnerability of the beast. Each time we fought the monsters, there was a chance to waive the roll until success. Guess the monster's vulnerability: Acidic, Blind (Light), Electrify, Flavoring (Coffee), Muck-Murk, Oxygenate, Saline (Salt) and Thumps (Vibration). The correct answer is Coffee. We guessed Blind, Muck-Murk, Saline and Thumps (all wrong). The correct answer was Coffee; Pax tired to tell the group this, but his rolls are so flawed we ignore him.
SECRET SOLUTION: "Counterclockwise fish about a Thermohaline Circulation" if the player characters swim down the center of the internal geysers of the tunnels, between the fish rings, they are also protected from attack. (Won't be fun but reward the person suggesting such an XP.) Reminder, when I put something detailed and strange into chat, it has a game purpose. I seldom if ever narrate w/ extraneous details. No one even asked about the fish.
We finished Telos by causing the remaining Tri-Ionic Lithium to breakdown using Lightforce and suffering Restoration damage. Project Stardust on Geonosis remains the sole recipient of funding over Tie-Fighter squadrons on Lothal.
We also followed distress signal of Driod ASO4. He joins the party as a soak-off. If ever someone falls, he recovers instantly 20 hp of rage. ASO4 dies instead (sad).
Plus, the group cultivates Lichen of Living Citadel of Kalla, a symbiotic growth. The material allows each session healing by the composite-organism but only in the last thirty minutes of the session. Chewing restores ten HP. However, if you ever roll a d4 for a one, the base crop is dead; you'll need to find another source of Lichen, maybe on Kalla. The Lichen of Living Citadel of Kalla requires a medic gear slot by someone for the option. Jedi Garo is carrying the medic bag.
New Sidebars and Mission Three of the Grand Quest await…More later.
Yours,
IronRed
